[Accommodation] Notice of Changes to Accommodation Tax (Effective April 1, 2027)

Thank you for your continued patronage of HOTEL METROPOLITAN TOKYO MARUNOUCHI.

Due to revisions to the Tokyo Metropolitan Accommodation Tax Ordinance, please be advised that the accommodation tax will change as follows for stays starting Thursday, April 1, 2027.
Please note that the new tax rates will apply to all stays from April 1, 2027 (Thu) onwards, regardless of the booking or payment date.

Until Wednesday, March 31, 2027 (Current Flat-Rate System)

Accommodation Tax (per person, per night)

・Under 10,000 JPY: Tax-exempt (No tax)
・10,000 JPY to 14,999 JPY: 100 JPY
・15,000 JPY and above: 200 JPY

From Thursday, April 1, 2027 (New Percentage-Based System)

Accommodation Tax (per person, per night)

・Under 13,000 JPY: Tax-exempt (No tax)
・13,000 JPY and above: 3% of the room rate (Fractions under 100 JPY are rounded down)

[Calculation Example]
For a room rate of 20,000 JPY per person, per night:
20,000 JPY × 3% = 600 JPY
